Silk Habotai is a lightweight fabric most often used in eveningwear, home decor, and sportswear. The name "habotai‰۝ derives from Japanese for "soft as down". Habotai is usually referred to as "China Silk", although this name can also refer to inferior polyester versions. Our habotai is 100% silk and woven in Korea. The fabric is lightweight and versatile and is most often used as a lining fabric - the silk fibers give this fabric great breathability and absorbency which makes it perfect for lining suits, jackets, and other garments. This is also a great fabric for silk painting!
